Trace Rod ( Digitrace) 50 metre

The (Digitrace) Trace Rod 50 allows the tracking of non-metallic drains, sewers, gutters and pipes when used in conjunction with the Leica Digicat, DD Series, Ultra and Digitex or DA Series (or other signal transmitters).

The Trace Rod has an 50 metre metal detection wire with a fibreglass rod on a reel. The glass fibre rod is pushed into the pipe or drain until the Trace Rod gets stuck where the blockage is. The (Digitex) DA signal transmitter is used to apply a detection signal to the cable, which is located by the Digicat cable detector.

The Trace Rod 50 can be used in 2 ways

1st: to locate the whole cable by connecting the DA 220(230) to the Trace Rod with the red wire and the black wire to the ground pin.

2nd: to connect both the red and black wires of the DA signal transmitter to the Trace Rod, so that the signal will be at the end of the cable and you will only be able to locate the end of the Trace Rod cable ( so called probe operation)
