Leica TA360 Pythagoras tripod accessory for Disto
Aattachment for a direct or indirect height measurement on a tripod with 1/4 "connection
The tipping point of the rangefinder should not change._x000D_
When you angle the Disto upwards or in any other vertical direction, the back of the Disto must
remain exactly above the center of the tripod. otherwise the Disto can never make an accurate
angle calculation and calculate a vertical distance between 2 points with the Pythagorean theorem._x000D_
With a normal photo tripod with tilting head, the position of the back of the rangefinder changes.
This creates an inaccurate measurement.
With this tool no measurement errors occur and the Pythagorean theorem can be applied.
What applies to this LSA360-S also applies to the TA360.
The pivot point remains in the same place for a correct distance measurement when the disto is
pointed upwards. Which does not work when using a normal photo tripod. (see left image)
