Both red and green line lasers do need to have a pulse function which makes them suitable to receive a line laser handheld receiver

It is possible that a line laser sends out a pulse frequency that the receiver does not detect because it operates on a different frequency.

Therefore, it is possible that not every line laser receiver will work on every line laser that does have a pulse or manual receiver function.

There are universal handheld receivers for rotary and line lasers that can handle almost any Frequency
