Telescopic aluminum octagonal Laser Staff . It is used in conjunction with rotating lasers. It has bubble level and mounting for receiver.
The Combilat laser staff with screw clamp is extendable to 260 cm in height
With a division of +50 cm down and -50 cm up.
See also banner on start page (on the left side) Everything you would have wanted to know about measuring.
First attach the staff clamp with hand receiver to the extendable part of the laser staff.
But exactly at the zero point.
Then you loosen the bottom screw that is 10 cm from the bottom of the staff, allowing you to slide out the lower part of the laser staff.
You slide this bottom part up so much that the set-up laser receives the hand-held receiver exactly in the middle, then you tighten the screw and don't touch it again.
Now you have set your reference height which you have indicated as the zero point.
Then place the laser rod in a different place and keep the laser rod perfectly straight and slide the receiver towards the laser beam (see illustration).
If the hand-held receiver is moved to the + part because the laser beam receives the hand-held receiver there, it means that there is too much material with respect to the reference ( or zero point).
The amount of excess can then be read in cm on the Laser staff (measuring staff).
The same applies if the hand-held receiver has to be moved upwards to receive the laser beam, this will mean that you are standing in a pit, as a result of which you will read a negative value on the Laser staff.
Which in turn means that there is too little material there, which again can be read in mm on the Laser staff how much one is short at that spot....
In short, this Laser staff is a very ingenious instrument.
