Cable locator TraceMeter TM30 – Multifunctional locator for locating electrical wires, cables, ground cables and underfloor heating cables.

The TraceMeter TM30 cable detector is a conductor and cable finder equipped with measuring and monitoring features. It can also be used in a strong electrical environment, so it is suitable for both telecommunications and electrical installation work, renovation, troubleshooting and much more.

The equipment can also be used to search for short or individual wires, which are usually difficult for search devices.

Sender TMT30

The TMT30 has three very easy-to-use operating modes:

• In trace mode, the device sends a search signal to be searched for by the receiver. The device can be connected to e.g. a 230 V socket. The device also shows the voltage at the output poles and the magnitude of the current going to the target.
• In meter mode, the TMT30 works as a voltage and frequency meter.
• With the help of the DSLAM test, the device can be used to check whether the broadband modem of the central end is connected to an unknown pair.

Receiver TMR30

The TMR30 is very versatile:

• It has three Trace search modes to search for signals generated by the transmitter in either open wires or cables.
• With the help of the three Monitor modes , the TMR30 can be used to listen to signals in different frequency ranges from the top of the conductors or e.g. from the end terminals.

The TMR30 has built-in antennas. The LED column display and sound signals clearly indicate the strength of the signals during work. In addition, the device has an LED light pointing to the work site.

Monitoring use of TMR30

• In Powerline monitoring mode, TMR30 can be used without a transmitter, e.g. to determine the voltage and polarity of sockets.
• High frequency signals can be listened to in High Freq mode . For example, broadband pairs can be identified with this method.
• Sound frequencies can be listened to in the Audio freq mode right from the surface of the conductors.

TM30 pager operation

• Strong electrical objects : Since the TM30 can withstand voltages of up to 400 V, it can be used to search for high voltage conductors and cables.
• Cable search : The TM30 can also be used to locate underground telecommunication and electricity cables, especially over short distances. In the example in the picture, we are looking for the route of the lamppost's supply cable using a ground spike. A PM100 or PM50 clamp transformer can also be connected to the TMT30, which can be used to search for cables that cannot be galvanically connected.
• Cross-connecting wires and telepairs : TM30 can be used to follow the routes of telepairs even in thick wire bundles very efficiently, e.g. in central premises. The conductors of the apartment boxes are also easy to find in the switchboard.
• Identification of cables : For example, in renovation situations, the TM30 can be used to identify and track severed electrical and telecommunication cables, or, for example, coaxial cables of surveillance cameras.
